WHAT:	Project Backpack is back! Mike Morse Law Firm is giving away more backpacks than ever before! This year, in addition to 28,000 backpacks that will go to Detroit Public School students, Project Backpack is giving away backpacks filled with school supplies to any southeast Michigan student entering grades K-5* for the 2019-20 school year. Join Mike Morse, Hooper and a surprise Detroit Pistons guest for food, music, photos, face painting, and fun! The event is free. Backpacks are first come, first serve while supplies last. Students must be present to receive a backpack. * This event is restricted to students outside of Detroit Public Schools Community District. DPSCD students will receive backpacks from Mike Morse Law Firm during their first week of school.
WHEN:	Saturday, August 24 12 – 2 pm
WHERE:	Mike Morse Law Firm Parking Lot 24901 Northwestern Hwy. Southfield, Mich. 48075
WHO:	All metro Detroit K-5 students (outside of Detroit Public Schools) who need backpacks to help get their school year started right.
DETAILS:	Food, face painting, music, and fun for all attendees. Appearances by: – Detroit Pistons mascot, Hooper – Detroit Pistons dancers – A surprise Detroit Pistons guest Photo opportunities with Michael, Hooper, and special Pistons guest.
ABOUT:	Now in its sixth year, Project Backpack has donated more than 130,000 backpacks to help level the playing field for thousands of kids in and around Metro Detroit.
